Ribbons
Here are some important things to consider when ordering ribbons:

• The type of printer to be used – thermal transfer, near edge, dot matrix (Impact)
• Face sheet – paper or film
• How the imprinted label will be used – direct food contact, subject to chemical wash, placed outdoors, inventory tracking, manufacturing, subject to extreme temperature changes
• Will the label be printed in black and white or is color needed.
• Length of ribbon
• Quantity needed per order
• Knowing when to reorder – when the last ribbon goes on the printer, or is there a blanket order with scheduled releases
